1986 : ORyoung, Incorporated   Original conception of ORyoung, Inc., stemmed from cooperative efforts of initiating group purchasing among hospitals in order to achieve efficient and effective materials management process among American hospitals since governments advocacy for the shared services in early 1960s. Seeking to improve better method of materials procurement, ORyoung, Inc. has adopted the American group purchasing concept. 1987 : Group Purchasing Pharmaceuticals, Supplies & Managemetn Consulting   ORyoung, Inc. has begun its initial business with pharmaceuticals group purchasing and hospital management consulting services on the first day of February, l987. In June, 1990, ORyoung, Inc. has expanded its business by obtaining import/ export license from the government, and began the foreign trading business of drugs, equipment, medical/ surgical supplies, and other health care materials. ORyoung, Inc. is a sole distributor of hospital disposable surgical supply products of Mlnlycke, aB, Sweden. 1989 : Hospital Laundry Service and Linen Lease   On July, 1989, ORyoung, Inc. has leased a hospital laundry factory from Pusan Catholic Diocese. Having renovated and expanded, Jisansa, the laundry facility has been providing the highest quality professional hospital laundry services to 26 hospitals (6,560 contract beds) with daily production of 25 dried tons by a full automatic computerized laundry system. Today, hospital linen is on lease to minimize hospital's cost and administrative efforts/manpower. 1998 June : Dedicated ORyoung Building   ORyoung, Inc. has completed its own building and moved in. Today, ORyoung Inc. has grown as the sixth largest drug wholesaler in South Korea. NSS-Non-stock Inventory System   Today, ORyoung provides not only better buying for the hospitals but also the most advanced technique in complete concept of supply processing and distribution (SPD) for all of the customer health care organizations, encompassing pharmaceuticals, hospital supplies, linen by non-stock inventory system (NSS) with addition of management consulting services. INC.   In 1988, ORyoung has invested on a subsidiary business companies, Young-Il Company, Limited and Young-Yutong, Co., Ltd., in order to provide hospital food and grocery supplies as well as contractual management of manpower support service in the areas of dietary, security, house-keeping and parking management.
